They lose sleep over unfinished business, and the pressure to do well can all add to the stress and anxiety. Being stressed can affect productivity. Employees may develop unhealthy habits like smoking or drinking, which they believe can somehow ease the tension. Unfortunately, none of these habits can actually help and lead to health issues that can further affect their efficiency. Keeping the temperature at its most comfortable, providing proper lighting, and allowing enough space to move around are things to take into careful consideration. Making your office attractive can also set the mood for work. A drab looking workplace can be less than stimulating, and just thinking about working there each day can be stressful.

When an office is lacking in the equipment it needs to run efficiently, you can expect unhappy employees who can’t get the job done right. When that happens, productivity is decreased while stress among your office staff increases. Employees need to have the appropriate equipment on hand to accomplish their tasks accurately. You need to ensure that your internet connection is stable, and your computers, printers, phones, projector and projector mount and other essential office equipment are functioning efficiently and readily available when needed.

Keep Lines Of Communication Open

While employees respect you as their boss, there may be certain ideas they can suggest that can prove favourable to your business. Your employees need to know that they can approach you and that you are willing to give them a chance to express opinions or offer suggestions. By doing that, you show them that they matter and that you respect what they have to say.

Show Appreciation

Appreciation goes a long way in making your staff happy. If a job has been satisfactorily accomplished or an employee did extra time for completing a task, it would be an excellent idea to thank them for it. It makes them feel valued and motivates them to do better. An office worker who has been shown gratitude after a hard day at work goes home feeling good about themselves and eager to get to work the next day.
